Embarking on a Half-Day Visit to Amazon Shelter in Tambopata offers a profound insight into the dedicated efforts of wildlife conservation within the Peruvian Amazon. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to observe a variety of species currently under rehabilitation, including howler and capuchin monkeys, red brocket deer, peccaries, tapirs, and numerous bird species such as macaws, parrots, and parakeets. The knowledgeable staff will share stories of individual animals, detailing their journey from rescue to recovery, and the challenges faced in the process.
