EXCELLENT Based on 63 reviews Curiosity681696173092024-12-24Verified Super recommended It may not be the best hostel in the area (hear from others who may be nicer but also more expensive) but for the price, it is definitely the best. I stayed 5 days at $370 all inclusive (minus the tips I had to leave to people because the service was really spectacular, from the staff to the guide). A personal complaint is the beds, which are quite bad, although it ended up so tired that at least I slept well, despite the hellish heat. Now, common complaints I've heard from other guests is the lack of hot water. I was really surprised there was water, because I was in the jungle. The water is not totally cold, and honestly, anyone who wants to bathe in hot water in the heat of the jungle must have some problem. The times I've had to jump in the shower to cool off from the heat of the environment. Bungalows serve their purpose. To provide free water to drink, and has things to buy whose prices are not exaggeratedly high. The activities were interesting and we saw many animals during the journey. It is a good place to relax too. If you go, I recommend to the guide J.J, excellent guide and more than anything someone who likes and worries about the jungle and likes to share his knowledge. All the staff also behaved very well, and they are people from the area who do not mind sharing their stories and knowledge of the jungle. Definitely recommended. One piece of advice: Time is time. No Peruvian time. Diana S2024-11-06Verified Great jungle experience We stayed in total 4 days and 3 nights. The treatment was very good, the accommodation is great and the team of guides, cooks, etc. is wonderful. The food is great!! The activities are very well to be able to get to know the jungle more deeply. We agree with Saul and Brian as guides and we are very happy. Aude A2024-10-27Verified Very basic, not clean, without charm. I'm not going back. We stayed 3 days with family. The photos do not reflect the place well (they are taken from a distance and pixelated, or very closely in the rooms). The rooms are actually very basic and charmless. Some cabins have a tin roof. There's an unfinished pool at the entrance (apparently there were construction problems), it's a work in progress. Our rooms were not ready until after 3pm. At 2pm, when we were able to enter the rooms for the first time, we asked the staff to change our sheets (they had remade the beds with the sheets of the people who slept in the bed, hair included!). But we had to wait because it was the break. I was sickened. We didn't get an apology, the boss didn't seem concerned at all. The food was really basic (canteen type). No buffet. Table service, with lots of rice and starch, and very little meat/fish and vegetables (One lunch, I was treated to a head of fish, there was a whole spoonful of flesh to eat. My husband got the fish tail.) I did enjoy them serving gluten-free food to my daughter (who has a gluten intolerance). We especially liked the excursion to Sandoval Lake, we saw a lot of animals (but this is not a specific activity of this lodge). On the other hand, we would have done without the fishing trip with a wire hooked to a stick, while our guide watched series on his phone. Nobody caught anything, it was ridiculous and boring. I really regret this choice, so much so that I wonder if the enthusiastic opinions are true. I felt like I was in a tourist catcher. I would like to return to Tambopata in a more charming and welcoming lodge. There are others for equivalent prices. Miguel P2024-08-24Verified Thank you Samuel The rooms without fan and light from 6 p.m. to 22 p.m. there is no wifi throughout the Lodge the rooms are spacious a little ramshackle but in that sense you can not Pedri otherwise are wooden and you are in the jungle the pool half fill it and the water with heat is room temperature but to quell the heat is fine. If saying that the best thing by far has been the tours or activities we did from there and especially the attention and professionalism of your Guide in particular Samuel if you can go with him will be a success the tour explains a lot of things outside of what other guides record and you can see that he enjoys what he does. Thanks again Samuel Daniel K2024-08-17Verified Big recommendation! I highly recommend the 4D/3N jungle tour at this lodge! It offers a perfect blend of action, adventure, and relaxation. The lodge is authentic, laid-back, and exceeded our expectations. Spending days in the heart of the jungle was a truly unique experience that stood out from the rest of our travels in Peru. The abundance of life everywhere was incredible—you could constantly hear and see it all around. I hadn't expected the wildlife to be so close to the lodge, given the human presence in the area, but we saw a variety of plant and animal species each day. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the nature guide Saay, who was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely caring, going out of his way to ensure visitors had a great experience. At one point, you visit a nearby native family, which is more of a demonstration of their traditional ways for tourists than a visit to a remote tribe. It can feel a bit awkward if you don’t understand the context, but the guide was transparent and honest about the purpose of this excursion. My only minor complaint was the food, which could have been more varied and served in larger portions. Everyone received the same portion size. However, considering everything else, the tour and lodge still offer excellent value for money! sarah g2024-07-06Verified Amazon stay Great experience in the jungle. Accommodation as you’d expect but staff very friendly and informative. We saw lots of animals and birds on the various excursions and really enjoyed our stay! The food was ok, although it could have been more varied with better vegetarian options. All in all, I would recommend for a mid-range option Amy B2024-04-15Verified We had the most amazing experience and couldn't recommend this tour enough! 100% recommend this agency for a tour of the Amazon. We were collected off the bus and brought by boat to the lodge which is in a beautiful setting. We stayed for 3 nights and had 4 days full of adventure with our amazing guide Louis who was so knowledgable about absolutely everything and such a nice guy. It was a perfect mix of activities and down time to chill between activities and meals unlike other tours I've done. Every meal was great and very filling. It was one of the most affordable options we could find and we couldn't believe the value for money. 10/10 experience thanks to this agency, the lodge and most importantly Louis our guide who really added to our experience. Katharina H2024-04-15Verified Great stay in the jungle with great guides We booked a 2-day tour. It was very well organized and we felt very comfortable. The guides looked after us very well and explained everything down to the smallest detail, whether it was animals, plants or landscapes. All the staff were very friendly. The lodge is very well maintained and the houses are clean and comfortable. Claus Reiss2024-02-11Verified 4 days of great jungle adventuree We had a great experience at the Amazon Paradise. Several jungle trips every day with our dedicated and experienced guide Saay. We both experienced the jungle by day as well as night. Every day was unique. Saay is very knowledeable about both animals, plants and the local village. They care very much about the wild life as well as keeping our safety measures in order. Great food and very nice crew. Definitely recommendable. Thomas B2023-10-12Verified Amazing experience We booked this lodge via PVtravels. We had a great guide Franklyn! From pickup to drop-off they made sure we were satisfied. Even at the last dat our flight left at 17 so they took us to a market and got us right on time for the flight. The activities are amazing! Especially their canopy walk and Sandoval lake tour. They try to make the schedule according to the weather so we saw as much wildlife as possible.
